Transfer 1, Week 1

I have so much to say and no time to say it. Pday has been crazy. Elder Ramos is a good trainer but not very hygenic when it come to cleaning up the place. So I spent about 5 hours cleaning the bathroom and kitchen to get them to the point that I could stand to live near them. Mom you would be so proud of me. Elder Ramos at one point said to me that he didnt think that it was nessissary, I gave him the look of death and continued. because of the humidity mold grows everywhere. The bathroom no longer smells like it was freshly used by a large greasy trucker. And the kitchen is to the point that I would eat in it. But we dont eat in our house for anything other than breakfast. we have lunch with members and generally dont have dinner. I am already used to having only one meal a day. because for three days we didnt have any milk so i didnt have breakfast. Elder Ramos doesnt like eggs, and didnt seem to know that they needed to be refrigerated because the eggs that were ontop of the refrigerator were the most discusting things i have ever seen in my life. i tried to pick one up out of the crate and the thing shattered, the smell was so bad that i almost puked. > In answer to the first 2 of your questions mom, the answer is yes. Erin or anyone else can do whatever they want with my email myspace and facebook, and i got your package. I have already eaten half the candy bars and a third of the peanut butter. As to the third question, I do not know my address. and i get my mail every week at district meetings. that was wierd and cool. for a second i couldnt think of its name in english. > But as to elder Ramos. He is 23 and has been a member for 3 years. He doesnt know everything about the church. Until yesterday he thought that you were supposed to use oil for every blessing. and other things. We only had one baptism this week, because the investigator has a problem with smoking and was not able to quit as soon as we had hoped. the third was her daughter who didnt want to be baptised until her mother was, it is understandable she is only 8. the bishop had me introduce myself in sacrament meeting, and bear my testimony. I performed the baptism. I thought elder Ramos was going to explain the baptism to her before. but apearently he didnt because in the water i had to instruct her on how to hold my hands and i mainly gave up on words and used my right hand to place her hands in the correct place and then performed the baptism, she also didnt know to plug her nose, so she came up spluttering and sneezing. Also she was wearing a big old gold catholic cross, but because no one else said anything i didnt say anything also. We taught a family on saturday that were very intrested, when elder ramos asked them to go to church with us the mom said that she was bissy but the children could go. so on sunday (it was pouring rain) we picked up the two little girls. They are 8 and 4 there are two others but they are 2 and an infant so they didnt come. but it was funny to walk in to church each of us having a little girl under the umbrella with us. we also had the two investigators that were not baptised there. Ines, the mother, loves to feed us. She has been our only sorce of dinner all week, she fed us thursday and friday. We do tend to spend to much time at meal apointments, but there really isnt much i can do about it. One i said to Elder Ramos that we are spending to much time at lunch, but he told me that we needed to, because if we were the member´s freinds they would give us recomendations, i disagree with that filosophy but there was not much i could do. in all this week had been productive and good, we have to get to work, we did get owr shower fixed but my time is up, tell you next week.

Love Elder Risenmay
