I just had the computer restart when i was finishing my email and i dont have much time so this will have bad grammer and spelling because i am in a rush. I mainly will be talking about prosyliting. But first i will be talking about my pants. I needed some washable pants so i went to the only store with slacks in the allowed part of the city. THey only had one brand of washable slacks and it was there grade A brand. But i needed the pants and they are great, but they cost 80 bucks a pair. So if you see a large chunck of money come out of my accout do not fear it was me and but it is yet to be seen wheather it was smart or not. Just making up for not thinking about cleaning my pants. There will be dry cleaners where ever i go but when we were at the policia federal building getting registered with teh state, missionaries that had been out for a year all gave the same advice of having at least 2 pair of washable slacks. So i got them today. > But on the subject of prosyliting it was great. I went all out and gunghoe. I was the first one to give out a pass along card when we got out of the van, I however got beat by elder Brog who gave one out in the van. At a stop light he opened his window and gave a card to a guy in a truck and said, "jesus ama nós" 'jesus loves us', My companionship was on fire. we were at first given 3 book of mormons and 36 pass along cards, we took stuff from other companionships because we were doing so well, we gave out 4 book of mormons and 45 pass along cards. Elder Karr gave out 3 of the books of mormon. He has great language skills and was able to answer questions that people asked him. He gave one to a poor girl that was looking down walking on the street. Then as she walked by this lady with a cigarete the lady turned at just the right time to accidently stick her with the cigarete in the arm. She started to cry and went and sat on a bench. Elder Ward and elder Karr went and talked to her and gave her a book of mormon. Her contenance really lightened when she was told what it was and that it was a free gift. She was reading it after they finished and she seemed to be happier. i gave one out to a girl that was looking at me curriously, i took that as an oprotunity to talk. I introduced myself and told her that i was a missionary and started into my book of mormon entry when she stopped me and asked if i was English. She had lived in england and spoke English well, not fluently. I explained all i could in portugese but was able to fill things in with English when i got stuck. SHe accepted the book of mormon at first and read moroni´s promise. But then she tried to give it back, i used the old sales man tactic of giving and then putting my hands behind my back and keeping them there. SHe agread to read it finally when i told her that it was a free gift and that i didnt want it back it was hers. She seemed to accept it as a gift and was thumbing through it as she walked away. I would like to tell you more but i am way over my time limit so i have to go.
